Current Courses
General Biology I (EBIO 1210)
A lecture course that introduces science majors to molecular biology, metabolic processes, cellular biology, and genetics.
General Biology II (EBIO 1220)
A lecture course for science majors. Topics include evolutionary biology, life diversity (animals, fungi and plants), physiology, and ecology.
Animal Behavior (EBIO 3240, EBIO 4460-582)
This course explores the general themes and important questions in the fascinating field of animal behavior. How do animals behave and why do they behave as they do? Students will come to understand both the historical foundations of the field and current research. There is strong emphasis on the evolution of behavior and behavioral ecology. Specific topics include cognition, learning, foraging, mating systems, parenting, social behavior and more.
Lab Coordinator
General Biology Lab II (EBIO 1240)
Summer Term
Implement and set up all labs. Labs covered topics in evolutionary biology, anatomy & physiology (including dissections), and ecology. Manage multiple graduate teaching assistants and one undergraduate teaching assistant.
Past Courses
Biology: A Human Approach I and II (EBIO 1030/1040)
Fall 2016, 2018; Spring 2019
A lecture course sequence for non-science majors. EBIO 1030 covers genetics, evolutionary biology and ecology.
EBIO 1040 focuses on human health and physiology.
SASC (Student Academic Success Center) Co-Seminar for General Biology I and II
Spring 2015, 2016, 2017; Fall 2015, 2016
As a part of the McNeill Academic Program (http://www.colorado.edu/sasc/mcneill), this co-seminar provides supplemental
